Freight Information and Policy

 Buses R Us has the ability to carry freight to Broken Hill via the Barrier Highway three times per week. And Broken Hill to Mildura via the Silver City Highway three times per week. The following routes are also completed in reverse three times per week.

 Buses R Us will enforce terms and condition to all freight transfers. All forms of freight must comply the listed conditions.

 What type of freight can I send with Buses R Us?

 Buses R Us can deliver all types of freight, from personal to commercial activities provided the freight in question complies with the terms and conditions stated in this policy are met and agreed to you the sender of freight.

 Weight

 A size and weight restriction does apply to all your services. Maximum 20kg actual weight applies and sizes not to exceed 100cm x 75cm x 50cm, if freight exceeds any of the above guidelines your freight must be repackaged to meet the requirements of travel.

 Buses R Us reserves the right to refuse any or all freight from a client at Buses R Us discretion.

 When does my freight travel?

 All freight will travel on the next available service from destination to destination. Our services depart depot three times per week. (e.g. if service departs on Tuesday from Adelaide to Broken Hill your freight arrive in to Broken Hill the same day from collection on the Wednesday morning from  the depot)

 Do I have to meet the coach?

No, freight is stored in the destination’s depot for collection on the next business day or by arrangement with management of Buses R Us.

 All freight transfers are based on to depot to depot procedure, Buses R Us do not pick up freight prior to departure of our services.

 All units of freight will be issued with consignment number; this number can be used to track movement of your freight.

 Our offices would not pro-actively notify the end receiver when freight arrives; this responsibility is of the end user.

 How much will my freight cost to send?

 Buses R Us, has installed a minimum freight charge to all consignment note issued for freight transfer.

A charge of $20.oo Inc GST applies to an issued consignment note and a size and weight restriction to this fee.

(Size can not exceed 45cm x 25cm x 30cm and or weight of 5kg) if your freight exceeds the level please contact our office for a competitive quote of your freight movements.

 How do I pay for my freight charge?

  • EFTPOS (only in person)
  • Cash
  • Money order
  • Company Cheque.

 What does Buses R Us class as Dangerous or restricted freight?

Freight may become dangerous to staff if damaged or to property and or the environment. They include goods that are or may become poisonous, corrosive, volatile, explosive, flammable or radioactive.

Restricted freight consists of firearms or live ammunition, or any other item that could be described as a weapon, live animals and or reptiles.

The transportation of any forms of plant material, fruit or vegetable from New South Wales and Victoria into South Australia is strictly prohibited.

 Insurance and Compensation Coverage.

 Any loss, damage or sub sequential loss or damage to the goods is entirely at your own risk.

 Buses R Us is not liable for any form of consequential loss.

 Buses R Us recommends you contact your insurance agent or broker for coverage requirements.
